In Jeffrey’s first award-winning novel in the David Thoreau Adventure Series, David must save his teenage daughter April from a life-threatening disease sweeping the world. Their race against time leads them to India, where hope resides in a miraculous healing herb. But fate deals a cruel blow when their flight crashes in the treacherous Himalayan Mountains of Tibet.

What ensues is an epic saga of survival, love, and redemption. Together, father and daughter confront their deepest fears and battle formidable adversaries. Guided by friends and aided by supernatural allies, they embark on a perilous quest to fulfill an ancient prophecy – only they can complete.

In a battle where life, death, and the supernatural collide, they discover that some destinies are forged in the crucible of the impossible—where a father’s devotion and a daughter’s courage shatter the very limits of time, space, and even death.

This book should be read by everyone! A story of true, true love in so many ways. And the way Jeffrey writes is so wonderful it was hard to put the book down. JS

I just finished a great read by author Jeffrey Pears, The Adamantine Jewel. Combine the lure of spirituality, the threat of global extinction and the sweet uncertainty of love and you have Pears’ compelling, hard to put down novel. I highly recommend this exciting supernatural adventure, unlike any novel I have ever read. Animated descriptions of people and situations make Pears’ work a nonstop adventure. A terrific novel for the most discriminating reader. PZ

The Adamantine Jewel takes off on page one and continues the action until the end. The plot has numerous twists and turns that take you from LA to the Himalayas. Dr. David Thoreau has to battle assassins, multi-national conspiracies, and, in an exciting turn, demons and evil spirits. It reminds me of a contemporary Indiana Jones adventure, with Eastern religious and mythological elements to add spice. It’s a good read that you can finish over a weekend. VR
