All yogi’s and yogini’s are dialed into the seat of intuition. It either shows up as promptings from the gut, yearnings of the heart, visions or symbols seen in the third eye, and/or synchronicities. Fostering the unfoldment of one’s intuition brings many wonderful benefits. Personally, I have found that it helps guide daily decision-making and direction to stay in “flow,” also called optimal life experience. Additionally, you may discover it also helps you develop advanced perception abilities to understand emerging patterns, see the connections between things, and read people more accurately. Intuition is like a muscle and can be developed with practice in a relatively short period of time. Practicing meditation is one way. Whole brain thinking (which I will cover in another blog) is another.
“Become still as a mountain lake. Now you can see clearly.”

The following is an Intuition Meditation Practice you can use to foster your own spiritual unfoldment. Enjoy!
Sitting upright in a comfortable position, eyes closed, spine erect, chin tucked in, turn your head to the left and double exhale “ha… ha…” This is known as the resurrection breath signaling you are moving into a new state of being. Turn your head back to the front. On the next inhalation, draw in your energy from the limbs to the trunk, on the next inhalation from the trunk to the spine, and on the third inhalation from the root of the spine up the spine to the 3rd eye or what is known as the sun center at the top of the nose between the eyes.
Now with your eyes turned upward, focus your inner gaze at the sun center. On the inhalation and for the entire inhalation, silently breathe OM. On the exhalation and for the entire exhalation, silently breathe OM. Repeat until you feel a calm state of stillness settle over you.
Now, open the intuition channel while practicing meditation. Simply curl your tongue back so that the bottom side of your tongue lies on the top of the roof of your mouth. Now visualize your astral tongue curling all the way back and snaking its way up to the top of the throat, and then up the nasal passage with the tip of the astral tongue almost touching the pineal gland in the center of your brain. Visualize a small electric arc or current coming off the tip of your tongue and stimulating the pineal gland. Practice this for 15 to 30 seconds. This is said to open and activate the lunar aspect (intuition) of the sixth chakra.
